For the record, I'm rooting for Niagara, which is like rooting for David if he didn't have a sling and a stellar track record against a bear and a lion.... See 1 Samuel 16:32 where David recites his "faith history". Because he had trusted God in the past and God had allowed him to prevail, he had a degree of confidence - not absolute certainty, but he definitely wasn't like most preachers portray him - a scared kid with knees shaking at the sight of Goliath.

I'm curious - what would your faith history look like? Would the obstacles you're facing now look as big if you could cite from memory the instances where He was faithful to you before?

(and yes, I'm aware the Niagara players have a history of fighting, but it has nothing to do with the point I wanted to make.)
