I'm back for more....

THE ENTIRE GROUP
(I'm toward the right near the back)

The weekend before Easter I was at Skycroft Confence Center in Maryland with the Young Adults of the Chinese Bible Church of Maryland. The theme was "Reflecting God's Heart". I spoke from Amos, which is chock full of social justice themes, among other things that reflect God's heart. On the final message over 1/3 of
the participants indicated they were tearing down personal idols - those things they had put value in that steal glory from God. It was exciting to see God working.

I joined a small group for the weekend and had fun doing a "video scavenger hunt" with them on Friday evening.

MY SMALL GROUP FOR THE WEEKEND

One of the guys in our group was fasting sweets for Lent, so every time our leader (Mike, bottom row on the right in the small group picture) used candy as an icebreaker, he had to pass. He was still well fed - on healthy food - see the picture below.

The Young Adult pastor, Gilbert Soo, was a terrific host and we quickly developed a pastor-to-pastor friendship. He and his wife (Ming, on my left in the small group picture) have a real heart for young adults - there is no other reason to stay up till well past 2 am two nights in a row : -)
