"Notta lotta moments
Every once in a while I come across an item that makes me wish "those people" were on the other team. Whether it's politics, religion or sports, there are times when something happens and I say "I know they're on my side but I wish they weren't". These are a couple of examples of "notta lotta" moments I've had lately. It makes me say "There's not a lot of (grace, wisdom, brainpower, strategy) in that one." It's the kind of moment that made Bill Engvall write Here's Your Sign. If I collect a few more of these maybe I'll write the "Christian" version of it : -)
A church in Illinois made an unusual donation for the police: money for stun guns. I guess the head usher, "No Neck Bruno" has the visitors whipped into shape and doesn't need them anymore.
This church (I'm glad I don't live in Haven's Corners) made an attempt to speak to the culture. Unfortunately it came across as rejection (Duh!). In my experience, those who are tempted by homosexuality have already experienced enough rejection. They're in desperate need of someone who can live out grace to them. Fortunately that "stupid attack" only lasted 24 hours until e-mails from all over the United States made them look in the mirror and realize their own "notta lotta" moment.
Got an example of a "Notta lotta" moment you've had? I'd love to hear about it.
