President Obama recently made a late night trip to Dover. Delaware to render honor to service members killed in the "overseas contingency action" that looks suspiciously like a war. Props to him - if you look at the picture taken at the event, the President renders a PERFECT salute.

Rumor has it that he was "schooled" by the Sergeant Major of the Old Guard, the unit responsible for conducting events to honor fallen comrades, including the elite that guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. His upper arm is perfectly parallel to the ground and his forearm is perfectly straight. The contrast couldn't be more evident - witness the salute of the (reserve) Colonel standing next to the President.
