Alan -- Yeah, it is a great article and certainly reflects my high regard for the Corps. It was sad to read the hateful and mean-spirited comments which were posted about the article by many of the Post's readers.

Alan -- Thanks for sharing this. Interesting that in recent past the Dilbert characters have dealt with employees who have lost their "moral compass" and their "soul." Dilbert, who lost his moral compass was promoted to management and the employee who lost his soul, Isok I believe, was transferred to marketing where not having a soul was considered an asset.

Alan,
I referenced the same report from Mr. Rubin on my blog a couple of days back. We have an autistic son and have constantly had to deal with the ignorance of airport screeners long before September 11th! I feel your pain1 You can read my article titled "TSA - Tyrannical Socialist Agitators at www.generalpatriot.com! I enjoy your post and your dad sends me some good emails!

Our church is a little over 10 years old. we have over ten acres of land with a new building DEBT FREE 22.5 % of our income goes to missions plus what is designated.
When we first started without a pastor we set aside 10% and gave it to whatever missionary spoke to us. Now at the end of the year any missions money left is divided among our missionaries.

Thanks Alan - for a great job of leadership in stuff that really matters for our church's life with Jesus. Your leadership helped us begin a process of talking through who we really want to be. It was interesting to see how a large group of people who haven't talked about this previously together, came to very similar conclusions! Hmmmm ...
